Overcoming Trauma
So far, we have read through two “heavy” texts (a novel and novella) that both dealt with subjects that are universally considered traumatic (abuse, rape, death, murder, loss of children, etc.). With the various subjects that both texts dealt with in mind, analyze (compare and contrast) how the main characters of both texts, Celie and Rosa, coped with traumatic experiences. Did one character handle trauma better than the other?
