In a paragraph or two, explain how the U.S. Constitution and its first 10 amendments represents a compromise between the different regional and political differences of the late 18th century in America. Support your answer with reference to the different parts of the Constitution. Minimum of 200 words.

History contains many people with different circumstances and perspectives. To understand actions in the past, a historian must understand their perspective and concerns and how they interacted. You are a free black person decades before the Civil War. Tell your (imaginary) life story? How do you make your living? How do you feel about the major issues of the day?
