Statistics is its own language. In fact, it is often called the language of science. Why do you think it is called the language of science? What does it mean to be statistically literate? Why is it important to be statistically literate?

In my opinion I think that statistics is called the language of science because itâ€
s known as the science if analyzing, collecting, interpreting, and presenting data. All scientists do these steps at some time or another in their experiments, but they may not be in the same order. This basically means that statistics is made up of science.
Being statistically literate means that one must be capable to read and write as citizens. This strategy helps to improve and strengthen society in which we live in.

Statistical data is universally understood. A number describing the possible outcomes is the same here in the U.S. as it is in India, Australia, or anywhere. The calculations used by NASA to launch satellites and manned aircrafts is the same math used in the Russian space program. This is what it means to me when I think about statistics as the language of science. Scientists worldwide can share and translate studies when itâ€s based in numerical data. Science is exact, just like statistics. Languages are distinct to geographic regions and can form barriers for those who travel outside of the area where their tongue is most prevalent. This is not the case when speaking in numbers.
