Who are Customers (DISCUSSION RESPONSE)
I need a response to this discussion post:
As soon as I read the topic for this discussion, my thought was every business has customers, right? Although I know some in this class may take the no customer approach, this is still my thoughts. All businesses have customers as customers can be a variety of individuals. The most common being the purchaser, however people such as shareholders and even employees could be classified as customers. (Conlon, 2002). Ultimately, it is the customer who supports the business and keeps it operational. When the customers decided to stop spending at specific location it is long thereafter that we see the business closing. A good example over the past several years is K-Mart. With the emergence of Walmart and then Target, they have seen their customer base continue to decline and they continue closing stores around the country. Walmart’s founder Sam Walton stated, “There is only one boss:the customer.” (Conlon, 2002)
