Students will select just one company from any of the Focus or Contrast companies:
Suncoast Food Centers, International Chocolate Company, Worldwide Airways, DC desserts, Delaware Medical Center, Patio Grill Company, Midas, Walt Disney Company, Whole Foods Market.
Students will access the company’s website and obtain their most recent audited and published financial statements. The purpose of this assignment is for the student to demonstrate the knowledge that they have learned from the course and the textbook and apply that to this assignment. Students will read and review the company financial information and then in their OWN words write a report that summarizes the information they researched using the outline provided below. No paper abstract should be included, the paper should start with the Company Summary.
Students will use the following OUTLINE and this OUTLINE will be required to be in the paper and each section will have a minimum of 3 paragraphs of single-spaced, 12-font wording. No more than 25% of the paper can be cited work and most of that should be the financial numbers taken from the report. Students will lose 10 points of their final project grade if the outline is not included. The assignment will be prepare in a word document and saved using the student’s last name followed by FinalPaper. Each section is worth 20 pts for a total of 100 points.

(In this section you will provide an overview of the company, some historical facts, etc)
Company Product or Services
(In this section you will provide information and about their product/service and any information about pricing, strategy etc and you can usually see this in the notes to the financials or you may need to read recent media release reports on the company)
Trends & Profitability Analysis
(In this section you will provide information about trends you are seeing in their financials as these reports how several years of information and based on recent stock market events how is the stock trading, PE, etc)
Competition and Future Market share
(In this section you will look at their competition who are they and how this might impact their future share of the market, what can management do to change etc.)
Evaluation & Closing Summary
(In this section you will provide your OWN word evaluation oh what you have learned about this company and all the information you read in the textbook about pricing, cost analysis, etc)
