Individual Paper of the Group Process: How did it go?

The purpose of the individual process paper is to reflect upon the project experience within your group and the work completed. This is an opportunity to thoughtfully discuss how your group evolved from week to week in how you worked together, communicated, and led. How did you use this opportunity to change your defaults and practice moving your This document will be submitted individually.

THE PAPER:

  • For overall clarity and cohesion, remember to include brief introductions and conclusions to begin and end your paper.
  • How did your defaults show up in your experience? (5 pts)
    • Briefly describe a moment where you realized you were falling into your default behavior in the project.
    • Describe a moment where you were able to act differently from your default, where your intention changed your typical behavior. What was it like to do so? What did you gain from it?
  • When did you lead? When did you follow? (6 pts)
    • Name an example of active followership from you (not to be confused with sitting back and allowing things to happen, but an intentional choice). How did this support the work of the team?
    • Briefly describe a situation where you demonstrated active leadership. Why do you consider that action leadership? What resulted?
  • What are you taking away? (6 pts)
    • What are two specific ways that you’ll show up in group work differently in the future? This might be your mindset, your actions, your approach, etc. Connect these changes to your growth as a leader, or to leadership.
  • Peer Reviews (10 points)
    • These individual responses will be kept confidential. Comment on EACH teammate’s’ contributions (including yourself) by responding to the following:
      • How did the teammate move the group forward on the project?
      • How did the teammate follow the Group Norms for this project?
      • Do you think the teammate contributed equally and was accountable to their aspects of the project?
      • Would you work on another group project with this group member?
      • Assign a grade (A, B+, etc.) to each person in your group.
  • Writing Care and Proficiency (3 points) – The document should be written with care, free of grammatical errors and misspelled words. The writing should flow and convey a cohesive point of view
