1.Review the introduction of the RIDE document “Rhode Island’s Workforce Knowledge and Competencies for Early Childhood Teachers and Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Educators†and reflect on the purpose of the Core Competencies for RI early childhood educators and for you as you begin your preparation as an early care and education professional.
2.Review Domain 6 – Professionalism (pp. 43-48) and assess what level you believe you fall within. Provide a statement for each section (in the chart below) that explains why you think you fall within the identified level.
3.Develop a goal for each section that identifies what you will do in addition to taking courses at RIC to develop the necessary Professional knowledge and skills of an early care and education professional.
