introduce ourselves to each other using our experience with music. I would like each of you to answer the following questions (150-200 word response):

What contact have you had so far with world musics? What music that does NOT come from the United States, have you listened to?
If you happen to have a favorite world music genre that you know something about, what is it? Why do you know this music genre? How did you discover it?
Which genres of music do you love the most? Which artists would you do your best NEVER to miss if they played in your town?
Do you play (or have you played) any musical instruments? What are they? How long have you played? Are you planning to learn anything new? And, by the way, can you read music?
