Discussion: Career Documents
Greetings All:
Please respond to the prompts below regarding Career Documents. Make sure that you respond to three other classmates in meaningful ways, which requires you to engage in dialogue with ideas and not just answer with agreement or disagreement. Refer to the Discussion Activity Rubric Handout (in the file) if you need a reminder about the expectations of this assignment and how I assess these discussion activities.
For this discussion activity, you will need to post your response first before you are able to see what others have posted.
Prompts:
1. Review the sample Resume and Cover Letter(under the file). Write a short note back to John, the writer, and let him know what you think could improve his letter. What suggestions would you provide this writer? What should he add or remove? Please note that John Doe needs help as a professional colleague, so the suggestions you are providing should be conveyed in a professional and helpful manner, since providing suggestions is a task that you may very well be asked to do in a future professional setting.
2. Read at least two responses from your peers and respond to their advice for John’s resume.
Use quotations, summaries, and paraphrases from the Anderson textbook and any previous materials assigned to help you respond to these prompts.
