Discussion 2: Career and Technical Diverse Programs-Due March 01, 2019 by 9:00 p.m.
As we reviewed the history and progression of Career and Technical programs, we can see that programs became more diversified to assist students in developing knowledge, skill, and proper attitudes toward work. Programs became defined as “General Labor Market Preparation” and “Specific Labor Market” program. Your task is to do the following:
I. Define (do not just copy and paste from my presentation or Internet) the following:
A. General Labor Market
1. Provided a example of general labor market job(s) (describe) (you may discuss 1 or 2)
2. Describe who directed more to the general labor jobs (was it a certain race or ethnic group, gender)
B. Specific Labor Market
1. Provided a example of specific labor market job(s) (describe) (you may discuss 1 or 2)

A. Briefly discuss if the jobs/careers that you mentioned have relevance in today’s workforce.
B. Is there a demand for this type of skill?
