Bryson (2018) describes the importance of understanding the strategic issue agenda in strategic planning. As a public administrator or nonprofit manager, for example, you might ask yourself the following questions: How does the strategic issue affect the completion of a plan or project? Will the strategic issue require changes to the organization’s mission or mandate? From your experience, identify a strategic issue using one of the eight approaches in Chapter 7 of the Bryson text.
Write an analysis of a strategic issue and its impact on the completion of a plan or project. Explain why you chose this particular approach.

Strategy may be conceived as the end product of purpose, policies, programs, projects, actions, decisions, or resource allocation, that define what an organization (or community) is, what it does, and why it does it (Bryson, 2011). This week, your task is to identify specific requirements of public sector planning for the Revitalizing Masachapa Project, identifying strategic issues facing the town’s government authorities.
To prepare for this Assignment:
Review Week 6 information in the Virtual City: Revitalizing Masachapa Project multimedia.
Review Chapters 6–7 in Bryson (2018).
Consider the relationship between identifying a strategic issue and developing a strategy for the organization or community.

Identify one strategic issue facing the community of Masachapa in its RMP. Using one of the approaches provided in Bryson (2018):
Identify the strategic issue
Describe the approach chosen to identify this issue.
Explain why this approach is appropriate for the RMP.
Develop a strategy for the town of Masachapa’s RMP.
