Q: Part 1: You are the Chief Information Officer (CIO), and the organization is migrating from central servers to cloud-based. The CEO has asked you to identify some risks associated with cloud storage. Write an email addressing the top 10 security cloud security threats. Be sure to categorize the risk (high, medium, low). Note that each student will have different viewpoints on what the top 10 should be.
Part 2: Choose one of the top 3 that you covered and propose a solution to mitigate the risk, i.e., reducing the high threat rating to a lower rating.
Notes: Cloud computing continues to transform how we use, store, and share data from applications to workloads. With so much data transmissions into and out of the cloud and public clouds services, in particular, these resources are targets for computer hackers. With these new advances in communications and the cloud also comes a host of security threats and challenges to keep them secure.
