For this benchmark assignment, you will be creating a mini unit for Brenda’s first grade class consisting of three sequential lesson plans aligned to Common Core content standards (in either Mathematics or English language arts). Use the COE lesson plan template to complete your three lesson plans.
Next, add modifications on your three lesson plans that are designed to meet Brenda’s needs as identified in the case scenario. Incorporate the key components of accommodations, assistive technologies, and instructional and behavioral strategies in your lesson plans to meet Brenda’s special needs. Describe any necessary tools and supports that will be needed to implement the lessons for Brenda.
Write a 250-500-word rationale explaining the choices you made for Brenda’s accommodations. Cite three scholarly resources that support your rationale.
Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
