Media Reflection Speech

Read a current national newspaper articles regarding media issues. It can be The Baltimore Sun, The Washington Post, The New York Times, and The Washington Times, etc. The purpose of this speech is for you to reflect on your personal experiences with media as you proceed through this course. For this speech, your job is to discuss your thoughts and analysis to what you have read and experienced from newspaper.
In your speech, you should accomplish three things:
1) Illustrate your understanding of media theories and concepts and how it affects your ideas and possible practice in future.
2) Consider if and how what you have read and learned changes your thinking and might affect your practice in both personal and professional situations.
3) Give your speech structure with an opening paragraph speech, main body, and conclusion and use the DIE (Describe, Interpret, Evaluate) to answer the questions.
You should begin by preparing some notes or an outline for yourself to help plan what you want to say. Practice your speech several times so that you are familiar with what you want to say and how you want to say it. Record your speech using your smartphone, tablet, webcam or other recording device. As you record your speech, make sure that you look into the camera so that your audience feels like you are making eye contact with them as they watch the recording. (Video Length: 8-10 minutes)
