In a PowerPoint presentation, discuss the importance of patient rights and the responsibility of the provider and the organization to protect these rights. Envision that the presentation will be used as a training mechanism for employees. Research and examine the different rights that patients have and how the staff can work to safeguard these rights. Include a discussion of the new patients’ bill of rights and explain each of the following areas:

  • Patients’ right to access affordable health insurance,
  • Patients’ right to emergency care,
  • Employees’ right to sue employers, and
  • Patients’ right to accountability by health insurers.
