The Book that I am doing the research on is Before His Time: The Untold Story of Harry T. Moore by Ben Green

Ben Green tells a story Before His Time: The Untold story of Harry T Moore; before Dr. Martin Luther King’s time there was a man named Harry T. Moore America’s first civil rights martyr during the Jim Crow in Florida. With similar characteristics of King Harry who was apart of the NAACP devoted himself in helping African Americans learn their constitutional rights. He fought against unequal pay, unfair voting procedures and other discriminatory practices. He became the voice of Blacks and was not afraid to speak on their behalf in regard to racial violence and lynching by writing letters to members of the states’ white power structure. Because of his tenacity he was not well liked; the KKK without retribution later killed Moore. The name Harry T Moore as civil rights martyr became a forgotten unsung hero for the hard work and dedication and battle against civil rights.
