Figurative language is all around you. Many businesses incorporate puns, personifications, hyperbole, alliteration, and onomatopoeia into logos, menus, signage, commercials, and radio ads. Often, restaurants will come up with playful names based off of literature. An example of puns can be found in the Middle Eastern restaurant named Pita Pan and a bar named Tequila Mockingbird.
