4. Download and read the article Strategy Maps: Money Ball.

6. Download and read the article “Using a Human Capital Scorecard as a Framework” via http://tinyurl.com/mwjhwrf.
7. Write an 800- to 1000-word paper guided by the following requirements:
8. Introduction: Write a brief introduction to the paper.
9. Strategy Map Summary: Define “strategy map” and based on the Kaplan and Norton (2004a) article you are required to read for this assignment, summarize the precepts of a strategy map.
10. HR Scorecard Summary: Define “HR scorecard” and based on the Walker & MacDonald (2001) article you are required to read for this assignment, “Designing and Implementing an HR Scorecard,” summarize the precepts of an HR scorecard.
11. Three Questions Answered: Following the initial model used to align HR strategy and actions to the business strategy as outlined by Walker and MacDonald (2001), answer the following first three of the four questions with one paragraph for each:
    1. Understand the Business: What are the strategic goals of the organization?
    2. Determining HR Deliverables: What must HR deliver to enable the business to achieve its goals?
    3. HR Strategic Focus: Which strategies and actions will enable HR to deliver business requirements?
12. Appendix – WS3 Strategy Map Assignment: Complete a Strategy Map with Outcomes based on your responses to 7.d.i., 7.d.ii., and 7.d.iii using Strategy Map Balanced Scorecard Action Plan.xlsx.
    1. Strategy Map: Insert the HR mission and vision statements at the top of the strategic map. Using Figure 5, GTE linkage model in the Walker and MacDonald (2011) article as your guide (top of page 372; do not attempt to complete Table II at the bottom of this page), illustrate the cause-and-effect linkage between your HR strategy and the business objectives through completing the strategic map.
    2. Keep the strategy map to one page.
13. Strategy Map Experience Appraisal: Appraise your personal experience of completing the strategic map with outcomes. Consider both the process of completing it and its potential for use in the organization.
14. Conclusion: Provide a brief conclusion.
