Student 1
Plants are most definitely important. Plants provide us with so many benefits. Plants are essential to human life. They are a very big benefactor to the way of life. As I see it everything in life is recycled and reused. Plants come from the earth, same as humans. We use the oxygen they create. We use the resources they provide, e.g. timber, fibers, etc. We use their essential nutrients, such as, vitamins, proteins, fiber, etc. We also use their compounds to create medicine and vaccines as well. The animals we eat consume plants and they provide them with the nutrients needed to grow and become healthy, and in turn this provides an essential function for all different species to help the earth thrive and flourish, and leads to a type of symbiotic relationship that in the end will go back to the earth to be recycled and used again, maybe in the form of fertilizer or providing some other source of necessity vital to the earths sustenance .

Plants are incredibly vital to all aspects human life. The are essentially the backbone of our ecosystem. For example, Oxygen is brought to you by plants, as a byproduct of photosynthesis. This means we literally could not even breath without plants. Plants also regulate the water cycle. This means they help distribute and purify the planet’s water. They also help move water from the soil to the atmosphere through a process called transpiration. Plants are also an essential food source for both humans and animals. Everything we eat comes directly or indirectly from plants. Plants aid the environment by storing carbon, and have helped keep much of the carbon dioxide produced from the burning of fossil fuels out of the atmosphere. Plants make up the backbone of all habitats. Many types of wildlife depend on plants for food and shelter. Plants also are a vital ingredient in some types of medication or are considered by some to be the actual medication. So yes, plants are important!
