The second research topic on the impact of the people-centric approach to an effective organizational change process explores the value of the people centric approach to the implementation of organizational change. The people centric approach to change is an opportunity that could be adapted by organizations during their change process as it involves engaging the employees within the organization that is the major agents of change. It is important to involve the people in the whole change process as it promotes self-awareness, and makes employees part of the changes the organization is about to undergo (Benn, Edwards & Williams, 2014). It is expected that a people centric approach speeds up the whole change process and so in such a study, the hypothesis will be ‘a people-centric approach promotes effective organizational change.
The last proposed research topic on organizational threats to effective organizational change seeks to address the problems within the organization that hinder successful change implementation. It is common knowledge that there are several factors that have to be put into consideration before the implementation of a change in the organization. Some of these factors are the organizational structure, culture, processes, and nature of the products and services being produced by the organization (Benn, Edwards & Williams, 2014). For instance, a rigid or rather bureaucratic organizational structure cannot support a participative management style unless the structure is dealt with first. The research study will basically look at the organizational factors that may get in the way of successful change implementation. The results of the study will then be used to advice management of several organizations on what to consider especially in terms of the organization to prepare it for change.

I enjoyed reading your post this week. In looking at research question 2 the people -centric approach is quite interesting as it can help assist with implementing change when employees are engaged in the process ( Benn, Edwards, Williams, 2014). Do you find this approach to be more successful to reduce employees resistance to change?
