Do these potential marital relationships support or refute the marriage gradient research as discussed in the textbook research? Consider the textbook research examining why women get married- explain how do that research does or does not apply to this video? What factors discussed in the textbook research about making a marriage last are applicable to these potential relationships?
Weekly Discussion Instructions

For each of the five questions you answer you need to begin by clearly defining the concept/ term being asked about. This can be that you refer to or cite the one or two sentence definition from the text or lecture. (i.e. “Age Compression is a term that means XXX according to the lecture” or “Age compression is XXX (Crawford, 123)”.
Then you will be expanding on the definition/ concept using that week’s “What do you Think?” video/ article. To do this you will outline two points related to the concept/ term and illustrate how it is evident in two areas of the video/ article. (i.e. “We can see age compression occurring in this video when the little girl XXXXX. According to the research this could affect the girl by XXXXX”)
After you have provided a comprehensive definition, then illustrate its application to the video/ article assigned with this Weekly Discussion. Discuss the evidence in this video/ clip that does or does not support the term/ concepts meaning as outlined in the text’s research. Be sure to fully explain how the content you selected from the video/ article supports or refutes the research. Do not simply give the example without linking it to the research you have put forth.
