Your task is to apply the theoretical ideas and findings of how groups work to help understand aspects of group/team development and functioning in the following social care case study/scenario.

You are working as a team leader in a residential service. There are a number of new staff that have just started within the team and a number of staff who have worked together for up to 10 years. There are two team leaders, eight social care workers and six young people between the ages of 12 17 with mild intellectual disabilities. The young peoples families are very involved in the service and the team are regularly in contact with family members. All of the staff get monthly supervision provided by you and the team leaders. While supervision is provided for you and the team leaders regularly by senior management. You run weekly team meetings although these are not running as effectively recently as you would link them to. There appears to be subgroups developing within the staff team and you are aware that there have been some disagreements between staff.
Please identify how you would address the following in relation to the team described above.
