Why did the author write this material? Make sure that you can explain the context of the material. Convince me that you have thought about the larger social and historical situations that may have influenced the author.
Evaluation- 1/3 of the total grade
What did you think of this material? Why do you think this? Make sure that you carefully consider the arguments of the author. Convince me that you have truly thought about the material you have read in the context of other arguments. Do not simply give me opinions about writing styles or gut-level responses.
