Both nurses in their position will look for the best results for their patients and the profession(Cullen, Hanrahan, & Kleiber,2018). As a nurse practitioner, he or she will use evidenced based practice to the improve the outcomes and care for their patients, for examples, the nurse practitioner treating a patient with type 2 diabetes will look for proven studies to help improve the care of their patient such as why a controlled carb diet and exercise will help the patients diabetes(Cullen, Hanrahan, & Kleiber,2018). The nurse manager runs the entire unit or even the entire facility. As a nurse manager not only does he or she want to ensure they use evidenced based practice to improve the care of patients but also help with staff, the facility and even the budget of the unit or facility.
