Since John Hopkins gynecologist had a chance to review Henrietta’s Lacks tumor, her cells were used around the world and led to major lifesaving discoveries in medicine whereby it turned into a multimillion-dollar business without benefiting Hela and her family. The story of Henrietta Lacks reveals so much more about the bizarre legacies of racial segregation, racism,and egos which are connected to the John Hopkins hospital.My topic is,therefore, “Segregation in Education in (Baltimore) Maryland in the 1950s,” since it relates to the knowing exposure of poor children and their families to poverty, racism,and exploitationbased on race. Thus, it is another story of segregationbecause of education milestones playing exactly on the same platform as Henrietta’s story.

What did I learn about the topic from search engines?
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) helped the families to fight the racial segregation laws arguing that the separation of students based on race generates inferiority feelings in their community status. Additionally, the council argued that the segregation had adverse effects on student’s hearts and minds.
Committees of community stakeholders, parents, teachers promoted the diversity and integration of the status quo. There was a case of students and teachers where Ms. Bowie and Ms. Green were involved in the Southwestern redistricting to put integration, but ideas were overruled against Baltimore’s county stakeholders.
