This example of an early autoclave was comprises an inner pressure vessel and outer water cooling jacket.
A crack has been detected in the inner pressure vessel casing in the longitudinal direction. Currently, this appears to be a surface crack with a depth of 50% of the inner wall thickness and 100mm long.
