analyzing nmr
The identities of two unknown molecules are Benzoic Acid and Phenacetin. Below attached are the materials needed. Thank you so much for your help!
Instructions:
I.NMR:
•1H and 13C NMR spectra measured on the NMR spectrometer in Ebaugh are available to download from NoteBowl.
•Make professional figures of NMR spectra that include:
Annotation of individual peak assignments in the NMR spectra by hand or electronically. Include a drawing of the structure of the molecule with every non-equivalent C or H atom (as appropriate to the spectrum) uniquely labeled.
Assign each non-equivalent H or C in the molecule to a peak in the spectrum. o Include informative figure captions that also identify the compound and type of NMR spectrum (1H or 13C).
Note that some of the 1H NMR spectra have “insets†so you can more easily analyze the data. Feel free to include those as well.
