Your assignment for class this week is to study both man-to-man and zone defenses. Read through and watch the video links sent out for class during this week. Once you gain an understanding of some movements in defense, I want you to choose either to draw out a man or zone defense. For whatever style of defense you select, decide where the ball is on the court (make sure I can tell where the ball is). Then draw where the defensive players should be according to the ball position. You only have to select one position for the ball, you do not have to show any movement. For example, if the ball is at the top of the key, I need you to draw out where the defensive players should be. Your drawing can be done either by hand or electronically. Upload your picture to the discussion. All I need is your picture, no explanation is needed for this week’s post.
This is similar to what you will be doing for your play assignment. Expect, for your play assignment you will be focusing on offense and have to be able to show movement with explanations.
