Building on smaller assignments including paper summaries, you will choose a topic in the field of
developmental physiology to conduct a literature search and summarize the state of the field. A list of broad 10
topics is provided below for you to choose from. You are free to explore particular aspects within each of the
ten topics or explore a different topic that may not fall into one of the 10 categories. This will give you the
opportunity to research in detail an area of developmental physiology that is of most interest to you.

What is literature review? Summarize and synthesize your literature review sources. Identify the main points in a concise manner for your readers. Evaluate your sources, consider their strengths and weaknesses, compare and contrast the results of the studies, and discuss the strength of the evidence. Look for gaps in the existing research.
you do not need to include an abstract for your literature review, just write it essay style, with an opening paragraph, body paragraphs, and a concluding paragraph (you are welcome to use headings throughout if you wish, but this is not necessary).
