While the United States Military has a long and successful history of disaster relief, government, private concerns, and non-profits lag behind. The logistics of disaster and recovery are becoming more crucial in an age when speed and accuracy are coveted, and the economy is dependent on complex connections and relationships.

• Explain how disasters and crises affect the logistics of for-profit companies.
• Based on research, determine the two most detrimental aspects of these scenarios.
• Using the resource beyond this week’s readings, provide a real-world example of a for-profit company that has found a successful solution. (The article should be less than two years old.)
