Question Description I am going to be attaching some more information about the topic and the scoring guide. Develop a disaster recovery plan to lessen health disparities and improve access to community services after a disaster. Then, develop an 8-10 slide presentation (PowerPoint preferred) of the plan for the Vila Health system, city officials, and the disaster relief team. INSTRUCTIONS Complete the following: Develop a disaster recovery plan for the Vila Health community that will lessen health disparities and improve access to services after a disaster. Refer back to the Vila Health: Disaster Recovery Scenario to understand the Vila Health community. Assess community needs. Consider resources, personnel, budget, and community makeup. Identify the people accountable for implementation of the plan and describe their roles. Focus on specific Healthy People 2020 goals. Include a timeline for the recovery effort. Use the MAP-IT (Mobilize, Assess, Plan, Implement, Track) framework to guide the development of your plan: Mobilize collaborative partners. Assess community needs. Plan to lessen health disparities and improve access to services. Implement a plan to reach Healthy People 2020 objectives. Track community progress. Develop a slide presentation of your disaster recovery plan with an audio recording of you presenting your assessment of the Vila Health: Disaster Recovery Scenario for city officials and the disaster relief team. Presentation Format and Length You may use Microsoft PowerPoint (preferred) or other suitable presentation software to create your slides and add your voice-over. If you elect to use an application other than PowerPoint, check with your instructor to avoid potential file compatibility issues. Be sure that your slide deck includes the following slides: Title slide. Recovery plan title. Your name. Date. Course number and title. References (at the end of your presentation). Your slide deck should consist of 8–10 content slides plus title and references slides. Use the speaker’s notes section of each slide to develop your talking points and cite your sources as appropriate.
You must proofread your paper. But do not strictly rely on your computer’s spell-checker and grammar-checker; failure to do so indicates a lack of effort on your part and you can expect your grade to suffer accordingly. Papers with numerous misspelled words and grammatical mistakes will be penalized. Read over your paper – in silence and then aloud – before handing it in and make corrections as necessary. Often it is advantageous to have a friend proofread your paper for obvious errors. Handwritten corrections are preferable to uncorrected mistakes.
Use a standard 10 to 12 point (10 to 12 characters per inch) typeface. Smaller or compressed type and papers with small margins or single-spacing are hard to read. It is better to let your essay run over the recommended number of pages than to try to compress it into fewer pages.
Likewise, large type, large margins, large indentations, triple-spacing, increased leading (space between lines), increased kerning (space between letters), and any other such attempts at “padding” to increase the length of a paper are unacceptable, wasteful of trees, and will not fool your professor.
The paper must be neatly formatted, double-spaced with a one-inch margin on the top, bottom, and sides of each page. When submitting hard copy, be sure to use white paper and print out using dark ink. If it is hard to read your essay, it will also be hard to follow your argument.
