2- The sunken place that the movie shows it. The sunken place is a symbol of slavery and how her mom tries to control his life …..the white people try to control the black people live and till them when they sleep and what the wear and what they have to do.
3-Last symbols are the colonel pattern, which represents when Britain colonized America and they took over everything. The pattern of the tea cop that Rose’s mom uses to parallelize Chris is called colonel pattern, in which it shows or describes, just like how Britain people colonized America, she wants to colonize the African Americans. And how he breaks it to in the end to be free.
