I work for Catholic Charities and part of the Catholic Charities mission is to help people in need. I know that ethics and cultures differ from country to country, but one thing that I know that is similar between them, is that there is someone in need. That’s the great thing about Catholic Charities is that they can help so many people around the world. One example that I can give to show how the standard of ethics may change is the program that helps women and children. Here in the states there is no shame brought upon women who are not married and have children. This type of program probably will not exist or will only be limited to those women who are married in a country like Iran because it is considered a crime for males and females to have sex before marriage.
