Interview someone who has immigrated to the U.S. from another country and works in an organization in the U.S. You can interview a person in your family, a friend, a co-worker, etc.(max of 10 points) Learn about the challenges that he/she faces: new language, customs, fitting in to the educational system, discrimination, etc. Learn about his/her process of acculturation: what he/she has maintained from the country of origin and what has been adopted from this culture. You can use my roommate as an interview. His name is Frank Tan. He is 24 years old. He is a Chinese immigrant. He has been in the United States for almost six years now. When he first arrived, he attended the second semester of the 11th grade at the Washington High School in San Francisco. He didn’t know much about English and college at the beginning.
