There is a range of perspectives on climate change, from it doesn’t exist to human activity is the primary cause. The different views on climate change also contribute to the different perspectives concerning resource extraction and use. Some believe humans can continue to use fossil fuels indefinitely, while others think we should find other sources of energy.

The United States is the world’s second largest carbon dioxide emitter after China. However, the U.S. is far ahead of many other countries in terms of per capita emissions.
