For this scholarly essay, students will engage the literature and frameworks introduced in order to respond to some or all of the following questions: Given our exploration of (social and cultural) identity and self, how do you understand your identity/identities and social position? What aspects of your identity impact your perspective on contemporary issues about which you are concerned? In what ways do the frameworks and concepts introduced in class impact your sense of identity? (10-12 pages; APA format; inclusion of assigned texts required; additional resources recommended).
