US Border Crossing Data
You will work on US Border Crossing Data in the attached ZIP file. This file contains data about border crossings on one day (March 1, 2019) at the US-Canada and the US-Mexico borders including passengers in private vehicles and buses, as well as freight in trains and trucks. You will perform the following steps in this assignment:
STEP 1: Split the data into two groups: crossings at the US-Canada border and crossings at the US-Mexico border
STEP 2: For each group, you will only work with passenger data points. You will need to look at two columns: a) ‘Measure’, which contains values such as Trucks, Private Vehicles, Pedestrians, etc. and b) ‘Value’, which contains the count of Trucks, Private Vehicles, Pedestrians, etc. at each border crossing.
STEP 3: For each border crossing, identify the number of i) Private Vehicles, ii) Pedestrians, and iii) Buses crossing over
