Imagine you are a tourist from Japan traveling in Palestine during the Arab Revolt period of 1936-39. You are well informed about the contradicting promises made by the British to both the Arabs and Jews (Balfour Declaration, Hussein-McMahon etc), and about the competing nationalist movements in the area. You write an essay to your best friend in Tokyo explaining the conflict in Palestine and you take the position of one group (either the Zionists/Palestinians, you choose), and give the reasons for why they have a greater claim on the land at this stage than the other group. Make your argument in a clear and organized essay relying on historical evidence from this conflict between 1880-1936 and consider both sides of the dispute.
