1. A Statement of the purpose/ goals of the project
The aim of my research project is to study the pathogenesis of Lupus; its cause, effect, symptoms and how it can be prevented. The research will use the cases of patients who have a health record associated with the disease.
2. Description of the subject matter
The central focus of this research will be Lupus disease. There has been many cases where the disease has been reported, therefore, I will study the disease’s pathology so that I can be able to come up with the recommendations to curb the disease outbreak. I will make observations of the patients affected by the disease, I will also compare various symptoms of other diseases that might be similar to Lupus to identify the possible causes and symptoms.
3. Explanation of relevance to interests or major area of study
I choose to handle this topic because it is relevant to my interests and also it will help in informing my area of study as a nurse practitioner. The research on the disease; Lupus is of great concern to me as it can affect anybody when their immune system attack their own body organs and tissues. Looking at the pathogenesis of the disease is relevant to me so I can have a part in promoting a healthy society.
4. Description of proposed research methodology
I will have to collect enough literature materials that addresses the case studies of Lupus, which must be updated and relevant to the specific area of my topic; the pathogenesis of the Lupus disease. Then, I will also need to prepare a research design that will aid in data collection from patents who have history of the disease in America. I will also consult the doctors who have encountered the real cases of the disease so that they can give me a clear look of the disease, how they observed its symptoms and how they treated it.

6. Form and length of final project
My final project will be 8 double spaced pages in length. The project will also be comprised of the list of figures, which will entail the tables, graphs, and charts.
