Writing
Choose either one scholarly article from EBSCO, OR two current news articles on the topic of current debates within the LGBTQ rights movement (this could be in relation to representation in the media, legal battles in the military or for protections for trans people, anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQ people, etc). You will write a brief, 2-3 page, double-spaced report on this article.
A. Introduction: briefly introduce the article and the author and summarize the main argument of the article – this could be your thesis statement that lets me know what you intend to write about in your paper
B. Body: Discuss the main points of the article and describe the research, examples, explanations the author gives to support his/her points.
C. Conclusion: Your Reflection
1) Analyze the article using readings or theoretical perspectives discussed in class and the textbook
2) Discuss your personal opinion on the topic
4) Provide a concluding statement that ties together the central argument of your paper
D. Works Cited: provide reference information for the source from which you obtained
