Chapter 6 – “Organization Structure and Design” – is the focus of this week’s discussion board forum. This chapter explores the role of how organizational structures and design play in the success of a business and how the managers in those organizations need to work differently within different structures.
Through your own personal or professional experiences please share with your class members what you have discovered about the various organizational structures your “organization” has used in the past or is currently using. Please be sure to name the specific organizational structure.
Before you begin to answers this week’s discussion board forum, please watch the short video clip below and read Chapter 6. I uploaded Chapter 6 files. Sally Field won an academy award for her role in the 1979 movie “Norma Rae” where “Norma” led the charge against the organizational structure of the textile factory where she worked.
