2. Give plenty of support—As a community, we want to provide each other with supportive feedback but that should not come at the price of value. Go beyond “Nice post” and generic comments. Once you understand their posts, identify how your peers’ posts enhanced your learning, clarified specific issues, or challenged you to think differently.
3. Constructively challenge your peers—Once you have provided positive feedback, provide a meaningful response based on your own opinion and understanding of the discussion question. This could include identifying where your peers went off track in their responses, elements you disagree with, or questions to help them to expand their thinking on a topic.
4. End with a positive—To help keep the discussion cordial and professional, end with a positive. Connect your challenging response or question back to something positive or interesting about their posts. Integrating positive comments with constructive feedback helps keep the discussion flowing and individuals on track for meaningful discourse.

The role of a practitioner-scholar in psychology is holistic, grounded in theory and research. The practitioner-scholar uses their knowledge to solve real-world issues within a particular discipline. The idea that one can use their experiential knowledge as well as research-based findings to problem solve is riveting. Not only does the practitioner-scholar use experiential knowledge but collaborative and relational learning allowing multiple perspectives to provide rationale for treatments. I plan to do my due diligence as a practitioner-scholar to implement every part of this to help my community.
The vision for my career is to aide at risk youth. Utilizing effective interventions during a crucial time in their development to mold them into future adults. As a practitioner-scholar I will use the most reliable knowledge to apply applicable practices. Collaborating with other professionals and putting that knowledge to use. Using this holistic approach allows myself and other professionals to strengthen our treatments and become ethically responsible practitioners doing impactful work.
Being a practitioner-scholar will strengthen my time management skills. To be a practitioner –scholar is to work effectively applying past experiences to better my future practices. In doing so, I will use my past experience with planning out assignments in advance and block scheduling my day. Prioritizing tasks so that I can complete assignments in a timely manner.
