Psychology and Law News Article of the Criminal Justice System

Please select a news article (from a reputable source, such as the New York Times) that relates to some aspect of the criminal justice system and write an essay that applies class concepts to discuss and analyze the article and the issue it touches on. This article should be about something that interests you AND that is relevant to the course. You should use the article as a jumping off point to discuss and deeply analyze a criminal justice issue, event, or case. The goal is to use what you have learned in class to analyze a criminal justice issue and make connections to current events.
Your essay should be between 4 and 6 pages, not including references. You do not need a title page, but you must include a references page. Please use APA format for both in-text citations and your references. While you will use the article you have selected to inform your paper topic, you must cite lecture and reading material to support your points and analysis. Please refrain from drawing on too many outside sources. Your focus should be on demonstrating mastery of course content and deeply analyzing a current criminal justice issue using what you have learned from class.
