Review the text for this week (Chapter One) of this book Community Health Education Methods: A Practical Guide, 3rd Edition on various theories utilized in health promotion: The Health Belief Model, The Transtheoretical Model, Social Cognitive Theory, and the Diffusion of Innovation Theory.
· Identify and discuss the theory you understood the most and discuss why. Identify the theory you understood the least and discuss why.
· Then, using the web, research the theory you least understood. Specifically, locate a peer-reviewed journal article describing an application/intervention of the theory to a specific target population.
o Describe the application and outcome of the application/intervention to your colleagues.
o How did the research intervention use the theory to modify participant behavior? Explain and describe.
o Include the link to the application/article in the primary discussion post.
