The politics of policing, the influence on society, how society influences policing, technology, militarization, police culture, police violence, structural change to policing etc. are other topics to consider if you want to write more from the policing side of the course. You can also talk about areas in policing you think have improved or what you would do to improve the issues that remain. What I want you to do is pick something that spoke to you, made you uncomfortable, made you reconsider, or reaffirmed something you thought/felt to be true.
