The weight loss researcher from last week’s assignment did his best to create a sample with roughly half men and women. However, he is aware that most weight loss programs have approximately 80% women participants and 20% men participants. Run two chi-squares to help the researcher determine whether
a) his sample is evenly split by gender and
b) whether the sample reflects the typical 80/20 gender split.
Use WeightLossPrograms.sav
For each chi-square analysis and report:
- The value of chi-square and the degrees of freedom (df).
- The significance level (p-value) for the chi-square.
- Your conclusions. A sentence or two will suffice.
Submit your answers to #1-3 in a Word document. Use a page break to separate the results of the two chi-square analyses and label each section accordingly. Please upload your file to Blackboard using the Attach File option.
