Every student should post a short statistical problem for another student to solve. In addition, every student should solve one problem posted by another student. Feel free to mix up the topics. You can find your problems in your textbook, online or make them up on your own. Don’t make them too difficult, as we want the results to be easily displayed in a students response. Here is an example and a sample solution that a student may post.
PROBLEM: If a 6-faced die is rolled two times, how many possible outcomes are possible? Show your work.
SOLUTION: 6^2 = 36. Since there are 6 sides to a dice, we have 6^2=36 combinations or possible outcomes when we roll the dice two times.
