You study the humanities to “become a better human” as it is put in the first few seconds of the video. The presenter further identifies reasons (or skills) as to why it is important to study the humanities, and consequently a case is somewhat made for you to understand why taking this course Studies in the Arts and Humanities is a requirement.
For this entry journal, I would like you to watch the video (if you have not already done so), and identify these skills (there are 4 of them!) that the presenter is referring to.
In addition, I want you to explain to me how your personal. academic, and/or professional experience may relate to these skills. In other words, if becoming a better human involves to have a better global perspective, how is this relevant to you? For instance, are you planning a study abroad program? Thus, for each of the four skills you identify, mention how it is relevant to you and what it means to your personal, professional, and/or academic journey.
