Tech Toolbox
Design and Development of Technology-Rich Learning Programs (4.b)
As an expert in technology for education, you should be prepared to share resources
and have a working framework for how to organize and keep track of appropriate assets
for educational leaders, teachers across content areas, and students. A personal
technology “toolbox†is one way to quickly and meaningfully communicate new
resources and ideas across a workplace.
Where other project assessments in this course focus on professional and institutional
growth, those are often predicated on your own personal organization and capacity for
growth. Your ‘toolbox’ is a design challenge that can take any shape, but should
exemplify your capacity for design, development, and implementation (4.b) of a
personal learning program that will extend beyond this course and into your career. It
should exemplify and promote digital media solutions for teaching, learning, and
assessment.
Your toolbox should include:
resources. Include resources for leaders, teachers, and students. Design so that
anyone would be able to see your organizational strategy, system, and find relevant
resources quickly. Consider sharing and exporting capacity and thoughtfully make
decisions accordingly.
Your organizational model should be clear and have an obvious connection to
elements of work for each of the audiences and potential sub-audiences.
more professionals that would resonate with your personal needs for resources.
Observe and as for them to “talk aloud†as they use your toolbox. Record, summarize,
and present revisions you made to the technology-rich resource based on this data.
Summative Assessment
Leadership and Professional Development (1.a-d. & 4.b)
Use exemplars from the above assessments and add explanatory narrative that links
the work done to each standard element from the course. Operationalize your work with
the goals for the course and clearly demonstrate your capacity, learning, and strategies
developed for each component. You are welcome to provide screenshots, links, and
example quotes from previous work, but all evidence should be brought together in a
single ‘portfolio’ organized around each row of the standard rubrics. When completed
submit this for final evaluation and documentation of proficiency.
