Create a detailed lesson plan for a technology course (may be a lesson from the unit plan if the unit plan was created for a soft skill course). Use a technology course that is an approved USOE CTE course and use the strands and standards when planning.
Objectives
- Plan a lesson for a technology course that employs a variety of instructional strategies to engage all students in the learning process.
- Identify academic language necessary to ensure student understanding of lesson objectives.
- Develop appropriate instructional strategies, materials, and technologies to teach a soft skills topic.
- Use resources from a variety of sources to deliver instruction.
- Develop supplementary materials and experiences that enhance the learning process.
- Create assessment tools to determine student successful learning of lesson objectives.
Procedures
- Identify a USOE CTE approved technology course Business and Marketing or Information Technology (.
- Review the Lesson Plan Rubric which contains the standards set by the UVU Secondary Education Department. These are the rubrics I will use to evaluate your lesson plan.
- Identify the strand and standard(s) you will target in your lesson.
- Plan a lesson covering the strand and standard(s) completing all sections of the UVU Secondary Education Lesson Plan formActions .
- Create ALL materials you will use to teach the class including the bell ringer, activities, and assessments.
- Upload the lesson plan and all materials to this assignment. NOTE: Your lesson plan and materials will be shared with your classmates so that you all are creating reference files for use when you teach.
